This interactive workshop will cover the basics of 3D scanning and 3D printing. Participants will gain the necessary skills in the use of a 3D scanner, then follow the steps of the printing process from start to finish to create a physical model of a scan. This workshop is a joint venture between the Digital Stewardship Lab, a hands-on digitization lab that provides students, staff, and faculty access to specialized scanning equipment, and the Open Lab @ Hillman, a University Makerspace, which offers virtual reality exploration, 3D printing, 360 degree video, vinyl cutting, and project consultation. Registration is required.
