Have you wished you could "rewind" a file to a previous version that you saved? Do you want an easy way of sharing your code with others in your field? These are a couple of the many problems Git and GitHub can help you with. Git is a tool for managing and working on files over time, using the concept of versioning. In this online, hands-on workshop, we’ll get some hands-on practice with Git and GitHub. This introductory workshop assumes no prior experience with Git.
Workshop preparation: Participants should install Git and create a GitHub account prior to the session.
Don't forget to sign up for the follow-up session, Git and GitHub Part II!
This workshop is part of our Dealing with Data Series.
