Omeka is a platform for creating digital exhibits. Using this tool, you can organize related items into collections or narrative exhibits in order to display them in context. This online workshop will introduce the purpose and features of Omeka, offer examples of different uses of the platform, and include a hands-on portion where participants can investigate Omeka through guided instruction and individual experimentation. For an example of what an Omeka site can look like, check out the digital exhibit created by Dr. Jess FitzPatrick’s Fall 2019 Science Fiction class at https://sff19.omeka.net.

This workshop is part of our Digital Humanities Toolkit Series.
