“Data sharing” is the practice of posting one’s research data in an online, open repository so that others can view and reuse it. Data sharing potentially increases the impact of researchers’ work and forms a key component of Open Science. In this 30-minute session, we’ll give an overview of data sharing and the issues involved, lay out the steps to follow with your own data, and briefly survey some repository options.
