So, you’ve used Git to track files you work on, and to put repos on GitHub, and now you’re ready to take the next step: using Git with collaborators. We’ll learn about branches, merging, issues, forks, and pull requests. (Don’t worry if these terms are new!)

Workshop prerequisites: Although we will begin with a quick review, this intermediate workshop assumes that you have attended Git & GitHub Part I and/or used the basic functions of Git previously.

This workshop is part of our Dealing with Data Series.

Please check in with the presenter for your workshop or contact Gesina Phillips (gap64@pitt.edu) if you have any pre-event questions. If you are not a Pitt affiliate, most software should still be available to you, with the exception of ArcGIS and Photoshop--please get in touch if you have any other questions about your ability to participate.
