Join us for a book discussion of Lab Girl by Hope Jahren!

Geobiologist Hope Jahren has spent her life studying trees, flowers, seeds, and soil. Lab Girl is her revelatory treatise on plant life—but it is also a celebration of the lifelong curiosity, humility, and passion that drive every scientist.

Dr. Gemma Jiang, director of the Organizational Innovation Lab at Swanson School of Engineering, will lead the discussion. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch. Beverage and dessert will be provided.

Questions? Need a copy of the book? Ask at the library service desk in Hillman, Chemistry, Engineering, or Langley Library.

Space is limited, so please register in advance to reserve your spot.

Presented as part of the NEA Big Read @ Duquesne.
