Event box

This event will be a celebration of the freedom to read. We will have a sampling of banned or challenged books on-hand from which members of the Pitt Community are welcome to read short excerpts. Please join us as we take the opportunity to use our voices in support of the free expression and exchange of ideas. 

Books available to read: The Perks of Being a Wallflower,The Hate U Give, In Cold Blood, Lord of the Flies, Ulysses, Madame Bovary, The Kite Runner, The Da Vinci Code, For Whom The Bell Tolls, The Grapes of Wrath, American Psycho, Slaughterhouse-Five, Animal Farm, All the Quiet on the Western Front, Beloved, Catcher in the Rye, Harry Potter (series), Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, The Hunger Games, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Sylvester and the Magic Pebble, The Golden Compass, Fahrenheit 451, James and the Giant Peach. Participants are also welcome to bring their own banned book selection.
