Join David Walker and Steve Saylor from the Western Pennsylvania Regional Data Center (WPRDC) as they give an introduction to how web APIs (Application Program Interfaces) work. They will demonstrate how to get information from the WPRDC data portal through its API and how to transmit that information through Twilio's API in the form of text messages or phone calls. They will also demonstrate examples of APIs for other popular web services such as Spotify, Twitter, the Port Authority of Allegheny County, and others.
