Please join us for a celebration of August Wilson through the artform of Hip Hop and dance. This event will feature a talk and video presentation that explores dance through the lens of Wilson. Drawing inspiration from monologues and play titles from Wilson’s American Century Cycle. This project was developed by August Wilson Archive Community Artist Scholar Brian Starks in collaboration with Dr. Sheila Beasley. It was inspired by Brian’s research within the August Wilson Archive. This in-person event promises to be a unique and unforgettable experience that celebrates the intersection of art forms.
