This datathon invites participants to explore the library’s digital collection of historical photographs in the University of Pittsburgh's Archives and Special Collections. Participants will brainstorm ways to add data to our digital collections and generate new datasets. From adding geolocation data, identifying the names of monuments and buildings, and tagging important people and places, come and explore how data can enrich the University Library System's digital collections! Check-ins with introductions and instructions will take place at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30pm.

Please bring your own device to this event. Pitt affiliates can also check out a laptop at the Service Desk on the ground floor.
