Join us in the Archives & Special Collections Gallery to hear directly from curators about a new exhibit! The Hungarians in Pittsburgh exhibit and accompanying events celebrate the traditions and contributions of Hungarian Pittsburghers with an exploration of the steel industry through the iconic Joe Magarac in popular culture and the creation of the Hungarian Nationality Room.

Exhibition materials are drawn from the holdings of the University of Pittsburgh Library System’s archival collections and objects from the Hungarian Nationality Room and Rivers of Steel and more displays can be found in Posvar Hall's Global Hub and the Cathedral of Learning's Hungarian Nationality Room.

The project is a joint effort of the University of Pittsburgh Library System, the University Center for International Studies, and the Nationality Rooms & Intercultural Exchange Programs at the University of Pittsburgh along with the Rivers of Steel Heritage Corporation.
