Please join us for a dramatic play reading which will feature a play written by local Playwright Christine Bethea. Christine is a recipient of the August Wilson Archive Community Artist Scholar Award. This play was inspired by her research within the August Wilson Archive. Birthday at Tiffany’s uses comedy, laughter, and fun to address issues of race, privilege, and belonging. This event will feature a live play reading directed by Maurice Redwood and will star local actors. Bring your family, and friends for this one-night performance of Christine’s Inaugural play.

This project is a result of The August Wilson Archive Community Artist-Scholar Award Program. This program provides support and incentive for local artists to explore the August Wilson Archive and create an artistic/creative work to share with the community.
